Tuesday- Good News, finish peer editing their myth, add finishing touches to rough draft- make sure you have three sections of dialogue in your myth. make revisions, begin typing myth final draft, explode a moment
Wednesday- Library, ROL, So What paragraph, type final draft
Thursday-  Good News, SSR, myth feedback wheel and revise
Friday- ROL, hand in myth final draft and all prewriting, museum time

HOMEWORK:  
Thursday:  Finish final draft (typed)- you’ll need to hand in the final draft, rough draft (with revisions), all pre-writing activities on myths- due Friday

Thursday- SSR and sentence review, and students then will write character paragraphs- describing main characters in myth, exit ticket on sentences
Friday- ROL, explain “exploding a moment” and keep working on their rough draft.

Monday- Labor Day

Tuesday- Welcome Back!! Seating Charts, Expectations, Syllabus- online- login to Google Classroom during work time, Autograph Party, explain “I” poster (fill up the poster with a minimum of 25 words- nouns, verbs, etc.) **Bring a spiral bound notebook for English!!  Glue Plicker card on inside of this notebook.

Wednesday- Read out loud (Crash), Library (get a 200-page book you have never read before), create your own realistic reading goal- SMART goal and record finished books in back of notebook, and work on “I” poster

Thursday- First writer’s notebook entry- pick one word from your I poster and write the story behind the word- 10 minute writing minimum 250 words, share good things, silent reading

Friday- Be the Good day- different lesson plans throughout the day revolving around relationships and Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Engaged

Homework-
Tuesday- bring SSR book (if you have one), have parents read syllabus and bookmark class blog
Friday- reading log due Monday!
