Monday-  ROL, Caught ‘Ya, who or what is the breadwinner?, chapter 1-3 Powerpoint pictures, vocabulary, hand out The Breadwinner and read chapters 1-3  with discussion questions
Tuesday- Good News, review vocab., explain the end project--poster, art, presentation--and silent read and work on questions
Wednesday- ROL, Caught ‘Ya, review vocab., go over discussion questions in groups, any questions??- in group write down any questions you have with 1-3, assign 4-6- one pager for chapters 4-6 (1 for the 3 chapters) . Hand in on Friday for feedback.
Thursday- Good News, SSR,  vocab quiz #1, and work time
Friday- ROL, Caught ‘Ya, hand out vocab list #2, What is the Author’s Purpose (RL.7.6), assign chapters 7-9 with summary boxes- one sentence summary with picture or 5 facts- use computer paper and divide into 4 boxes.

Tuesday-Good News, SSR, students then will choose their best introduction and start writing the rough draft of their myth.
Wednesday- Library, ROL, Caught ‘Ya, and we will explain “exploding a moment” and keep working on their rough draft.
Thursday- Good News, SSR, work on a revision activity called “Scared Nutty,” and finishing touches to rough draft- make sure you have three sections of dialogue in your myth.
Friday- ROL, Caught ‘Ya, peer editing their myth, and work on revisions


HOMEWORK:
Read nightly- 20 minutes
Monday- character paragraph
Tuesday- work on rough draft, must be done and with you in class on Friday! *Be sure to include your exciting intro., setting paragraph, dialogue, character description(s), and So What paragraph.
