Week of Oct. 19
Monday- ROL, Caught ‘Ya, hand back Roots/prefix Quiz, check over myth maps, and discussion of good setting paragraphs- write your setting
Tuesday-Good News, SSR, leads/intros for their myth, write three intros and choose the best one
Wednesday- Library, ROL, Caught Ya, write a paragraph describing a main character in your myth,
and students then will choose their best introduction and start writing the rough draft of their myth.
Thursday- Good News, SSR, and we will work on rough drafts
Friday- ROL, Caught ‘Ya, a revision activity called “Scared Nutty,” explain “exploding a moment” and keep working on their rough draft.
HOMEWORK:
Read nightly- 20 minutes
Monday- Setting paragraph
Tuesday- character paragraph
Wednesday- work on rough draft
