Monday-  ROL, a revision activity called “Scared Nutty,” finish and check in rough drafts, and begin peer editing

Tuesday- Good News, finish peer editing their myth, add finishing touches to rough draft- make sure you have three sections of dialogue in your myth. make revisions, begin typing myth final draft, explode a moment

Wednesday- Library, ROL, So What paragraph, type final draft

Thursday-  Good News, SSR, myth feedback wheel and revise

Friday- ROL, hand in myth final draft and all prewriting, museum time

HOMEWORK:  

Thursday:  Finish final draft (typed)- you’ll need to hand in the final draft, rough draft (with revisions), all pre-writing activities on myths- due Friday

EVERY DAY:  Read 20 minutes outside of English class

Monday- ROL, Sentences Jeopardy

Tuesday- Sentence Test and SSR/work on myth rough draft

Wednesday- Turkey Trot, BTG and Careers

Thursday- Thanksgiving Day

Friday- Black Friday

Homework:

work on rough draft, must be done and with you in class on Monday!

The week of Nov. 14, 2016

Monday- ROL, complex sentences (check myth maps), write setting paragraph

Tuesday- Good Things, SSR, work on setting and  leads/intros for their myth (due Wed).

Wednesday- 2 hour delay,  ROL, go over complex sentences

Thursday- SSR and sentence review, and students then will write character paragraphs- describing main characters in myth, exit ticket on sentences
Friday- ROL, explain “exploding a moment” and keep working on their rough draft.

Homework:

Setting paragraph and 3 introductions- due Wed.

Read 2 hours outside of class- fill in reading log

Week of Nov. 7, 2016

Monday- ROL, finish notecards, and read myth examples, discuss ideas for myths, hand out “Write Your Own Myth” intro sheet and start thinking of ideas

Tuesday- SRI,  after SRI work on planning sheet for myth and notecards

Wednesday- 2 hour delay- ROL, and work on myth map and get them checked

Thursday- Good News, SSR, and sentence review (compound/complex)

Friday- ROL, sentence review,  and discussion of good setting paragraphs- write your setting

Homework:

Plan sheet for myth due by Thursday

Setting paragraph due Monday

Tuesday- Good News, SSR, Sentences PowerPoint (simple, compound, and complex sentenecs) and notes

Wednesday-  ROL, 5-A-Day, and finish Sentences notes

Thursday --Good News, SSR, Simple Sentences practice

Friday- ROL, 5-A-Day, Begin Sentence notecards
